Marking Lessons Completed

When lessons are initially added to your schedule, they start out in "Open" status.

Please Note: if you want Comments to be included in the email to your client/student, please use the Desktop instructions below. The app at this time does not include the notes.

After the Lesson (App instructions):

  • Open the TimeTap app.
  • View Open Appointments.
  • Tap the appointment.  After the lesson, tap Edit in the top right corner.
  • Type in any lesson Comments (only visible to you).
  • Mark as "Completed". You will have the option to send an email to parents that the lesson took place.
    • (Alternatively, you may mark a client "No Show" for these appointments or may "Cancel" the appointment.)
  • Under Reminders, turn on "Send confirmation email to client".
  • Save


After the Lesson (Desktop instructions):

  • Log into your scheduler admin panel.
  • Double-click the appointment to open it.
  • In the Mark As... dropdown, choose Completed.
  • A window will open "You've selected to mark this appointment as completed. Please select if you'd like to send an email about the change:"
    • Check the box to send a email to the client.
    • In the Completion Note box, enter the comments for your student/parent (ie: lesson notes, what to keep working on, suggestions, etc.). This will appear in their 'lesson completed' email.
  • Click Confirm and Complete button.
